White Water Kayak & Canoe Guiding

If you're looking to explore a new river, confident that you're in safe hands, book a guided Lake District white water kayak or canoe trip with Kinetic Paddlesports. There are many reasons to go paddling with an experienced guide. Perhaps you're not sure where to go in high water levels or want a 1:1 high speed tour of the classic runs cramming as much into a day as possible. Maybe you're a group of mates wanting to paddle some new rivers, or a club wanting support with a trip to either support the newer paddlers or to give the advanced ones a great day out. Whatever your situation, if one of our standard canoe or kayak courses doesn't quite offer what you need, our in-depth knowledge of the local rivers and years of experience guiding gives us the know-how to tailor the best days out to fit your aims. Exploring the Lake District's finest white water spots is what we do best. If you want some support on your first lap of the spectacular River Swale, advice on how to nail the line on Backbarrow, or a relaxing cruise down the picturesque Eden, we can help you get the most from your time.

Guiding costs vary depending on the group size. This sets out the typical cost of instructor to group size ratio:

One-to-one guiding: £225 per day
One guide: two clients: £300 per day
One guide: three clients: £400 per day
One guide: four clients: £450 per day
One guide: five clients: £450 per day
One guide: six clients: £450 per day

Depending on the group, rivers and location we may operate on a 1:3 ratio, in which case groups with four or more clients will have two coaches, and costs will be based on the 1:3 price structure.
