Booking Conditions

Booking Confirmation

Online bookings will be confirmed by email within 72 hours of being placed. A place on the course will not be confirmed until the full course fee has been received and your confirmation email has been sent online.  Due to increasingly difficult logistics, we do not accept cheques. If you have booked a course that is due to start within 48 hours, please await an email or phone call from Kinetic Paddlesports to confirm your place on the course.

Cancellation By You

Our cancellation refund policy is as follows:

  • If you cancel more than 8 weeks prior to the course, a full refund will be issued

  • If you cancel between 4 and 8 weeks prior to the course, 60% of the course fee will be retained and 40% will be returned

  • If you cancel less than 4 weeks prior to the course, no refund will be issued

Please note in the event of cancellation by yourself any non-refundable Paypal or other fees will be deducted from any refund.

In certain situations we may be able to work out another mutually agreeable option, but this is solely at the discretion of Kinetic Paddlesports and clients are advised to presume the above cancellation policy will apply. If Kinetic Paddlesports offers any form of refund or transfer beyond the terms and conditions, this does not imply that the same offer will be made regarding future bookings.

British Canoeing Courses

Several of the British Canoeing courses we deliver require registration with British Canoeing or Paddles Up Training prior to the course, and have set prerequisites. Meeting these criteria is the client's responsibility and failure to meet the criteria or to register in advance and provide evidence of this, will mean the client will not be able to attend the course. In this situation, the cancellation policy above applies and no refund will be given. We will ask clients to send us evidence of this criteria prior to the course and we are happy to help with any questions you have and help you through the process.

Cancellation By Kinetic Paddlesports

Despite our best efforts, in situations such as inappropriate water levels; poor weather conditions; failure to make required numbers to meet governing body minimum ratios; if a course fails to fill to a financially viable level; or for any other unexpected circumstances, Kinetic Paddlesports may need to cancel the course. In this situation, clients will be offered the following options: rescheduling of the course to a different date; transfer to another course; or a full refund. Kinetic Paddlesports is not responsible for any losses or expenses incurred by the client dues to course cancellation.

Client Ability

In order to provide excellent courses in challenging environments it is essential that clients provide an honest description of their ability level, failure to do so has an impact on the environment we are able to use and can have a negative impact on the other clients. If a client is found to have failed to provide an honest description of their ability, they may be asked to leave the course, in which case no refund will be given.

Photos And Media

Throughout your course we may take video and photos, these can be an excellent method for you to analyse your own performance or keep as a nice memory of the day. On occasion, these may also be required by British Canoeing for quality assurance. We also use photos of our clients for marketing purposes if you consent to this.

Clients are expected to provide all their own equipment for courses unless otherwise stated. Where clients present for assessment with borrowed equipment, it will be assumed that it is their own. Kinetic Paddlesports is not responsible for loss of, or damage to any equipment you bring to the course.

Where equipment is borrowed or hired from Kinetic Paddlesports, the client assumes all responsibility for the equipment, and loss or damage to said equipment will be charged to the client at full retail price.

Unless otherwise stated,(e.g.White Water Wednesdays), transport is not provided for Kinetic Paddlesports courses.

We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. Whilst every effort will be taken to prevent injuries, and our years of experience delivering paddlesports show that through good management and decision making, injuries are extremely rare, we would always recommend personal accident insurance.

Prior to the course please inform us of any conditions that may be relevant; to the course, your performance, safety, or may require any assistance, to allow us to prepare accordingly.
