Course Overview

We will spend the 2 days developing your Canoe paddling, Focusing on setting you up with the fundamental principles to underpin your paddling where ever you chose to take it in the future.

We’ll focus on developing your ability to consistently place the boat where you want, whether it's padding in the wind, tight manoeuvring around others, or manoeuvring a solo boat with ease and consistency

The Canoe Award Performance Award is the appropriate qualification to demonstrate personal competence on a SUP to go alongside a Paddlesport Leader award for leading other paddlers on journeys.

We’ll use the stunning lakes on our doorstep here in the Lake District and the locations will be chosen to make best use of the wind conditions on the day.

We’ll work with you to develop your skills and if you meet the standard for the Canoe Award then we’ll assess this during the training.
